1/8 - 1/14 workouts

Lets see, boy does time fly when you are trying to keep track on something daily.
1/8 - this was saturday, hoop day at the gym. It has been a month or so since playing and boy did I suck.
1/9 - wanted to go snoeshoeing but ran out of time. Ended up with a late night ride on the bike trainer 45min and eliptical 20 ish.
1/10 - after the car not starting and almost getting stuck in a snowbank, I did get in a little shoeshoeing. 40 to 45 jog/walk over at the farm.
1/11 - to the gym for 4 mile run on the treadmill and 20 min on the stat bike
1/12 - spin class
1/13 - Run 55 min along the river
1/14 - Relaxing swim in the Pool. OK, not so relaxing 400 X (3)200 X 400 with some drills mixed in.

1/6 and 1/7 workout

Well was going to try and come up with something more interesting to write about tonight but as usual life is getting in the way. The bambino is feeling a little sick and it is looking like it might be a few trips to crib side. Fingers crossed that he can sleep well. He finally got a good nap. He has been a bit messed up for the last couple days. Woh is me.

1/6 Hmm. Bike trainer in the basement for 45 min and eliptical trainer for 20. Snowed in so worked at home.

1/7 Hacky sack and stretching for 25 or 30 min while the ice melted the driveway enough to get out. Weight lifted at the gym for 25.

Well off to do a little clean up and then bed. Hope for a peaceful evening (for all)

1/5 workout

Today it was to the gym and did the spin class. Man does that class kick my butt.

Thoughts on the tsunami

As this is a medium to share some of the random thoughts about the world. I just wanted to take a second to make a comment regarding the destruction in southern Asia. It is remarkable to see the scope of the devastation and very difficult to try and put this in perspective. I am not sure that anyone can. Good luck to all those reaching out and trying to aide the victims of this catastrophe. May speed and efficiency be on your side.

Training for the past couple days

So Jan 2 I had a little ambition so I decided to do my first tri of the year. I mixed things up by dragging out the old mtn bike and riding to the gym. It was about 30 degrees out so I was pretty bundled up. It took about 23 min to get there. I went for a a swim, 850 yards. Well a new year but I still suck at swimming. It took 14.15 to swim, then back on the bike home for another 23 min and then for 21.13 min run over a hill. Felt pretty good. No time to rest and back to home time duties.

Jan 3 went for a run around town. 53.50 to cover about 8 miles. It covered the winery loop back thru town. Weather in the 40s. No complaints for January in Mass.

I guess that I am going to need to start keeping better track of the distances if this is going to help me improve my workouts.

Jan 4th. Back to work and back to the gym with all the new years resolution folks. 5:00 am comes real early yet the place was jamming. Let's see how long everyone holds on.

New Year Kickoff

Still getting used to the blogging thing. I am going to tone down my expectations of myself. Rather than have a complete plan for getting my inspiring thoughts down with perfect grammar and such, I want to just hop to it and jot down a couple of lines every couple of days with what is going on in my life. Basically, this will become a rundown of what is going on in my life and maybe some people will find it interesting.
